The adjustable shoulder sling is a brace that immobilizes the shoulder by placing the arm under the chest or in a neutral position with an abductor pad.

Properties

Adjustable strap system to immobilize the shoulder by securing the arm under the chest or in a neutral position. Adjustable foam pad for comfort and neck protection.

Indications

• Injuries or inflammatory conditions of the shoulder and/or elbow.

• Conservative treatment of non-surgical proximal humerus fractures.

• Shoulder dislocation.

• Non-surgical fractures of the clavicle and/or scapula.

• Postoperative immobilization (continuation of rotator cuff surgery or reduction of dislocation).

• Prevention of shoulder subluxation or dislocation (joint instability).

• Support for a paralyzed arm.

Contraindications

Do not use the product if the diagnosis is uncertain.

Do not place the product directly on damaged skin.

Do not use in certain postoperative situations (multiple fractures, installation of fixators, open fractures, etc.)

Do not use on complex or surgical fractures of the shoulder, humerus or rib fractures.

Recommendations

If you experience discomfort, significant restriction of movement, fluctuations in the volume of the limb, unusual sensations, or a change in the color of the limb, it is recommended to remove the product and consult your doctor.

Do not use the product if you have treated your skin with special products, such as cream, ointment, oil, gel, or applied a patch to it.

Do not use the product while driving a car.

Prolonged immobilization can in some cases lead to loss of muscle tone. When wearing the product for a long time, make sure that blood flow is not obstructed.

It is recommended to tighten the product tightly enough to ensure immobilization without interfering with blood circulation.

Wear the product over thin clothing.

Undesirable consequences

This product may cause skin reactions (redness, itching, burns, blisters, etc.) or even cause wounds of varying severity.

Usage/Application Procedure

The product is suitable for left and right legs: the choice of side (right or left) is carried out by rearranging the removable straps.

Care

 The product is washable.

The sleeve and drainage pad can be machine washed at 30°C (delicate cycle).

Do not use bleaches, softeners or other detergents that contain aggressive ingredients (especially chlorine).

Do not use a clothes dryer. Do not iron. Push up with your hands. Dry horizontally.

Dry away from direct heat sources (radiator, sun, etc.).
