FlexiOH® Short Hand Immobilizer is a lightweight and breathable orthopedic immobilizer designed to provide support and stabilization for the hand and wrist. It is designed to provide sufficient rigidity for immobilization in selected types of fractures while maintaining skin ventilation and patient comfort.

The immobilizer is made from a photosensitive polymer material that hardens when exposed to light after the device has been properly positioned. The recommended curing method is the use of the RizyCure® curing device. Depending on the size of the immobilizer, curing takes approximately 3–10 minutes.

The FlexiOH® design incorporates open areas that promote air circulation and help moisture and sweat evaporate from the skin surface. The material is washable, while the lightweight construction — approximately 300 g — contributes to improved comfort during everyday use.

FlexiOH® is made from radiolucent materials and does not interfere with X-ray imaging.

Indications for Use

FlexiOH® Short Hand Immobilizer may be used under the direction of a healthcare professional for:

• stable and non-displaced fractures of the distal radius;

• fractures of the wrist bones, excluding the scaphoid;

• minimally displaced fractures when this type of immobilization is considered appropriate by a physician;

• additional stabilization of the hand and wrist during recovery;

• use as a splint during rehabilitation.

Materials & Construction

Application

1. Select the appropriate immobilizer size.

5. Cure the material using the recommended RizyCure® device.

6. After curing, check the stability of the fixation and the patient’s comfort.
