The ALFA special needs wheelchair is designed for children with a height of 100–150 cm and a maximum body weight of 55 kg.
ALFA features a reliable and durable construction consisting of a frame, seat and separate backrest. Its robust design provides long-term durability while making the wheelchair easier to transport.
The wheelchair offers a wide range of adjustments, allowing the seat and backrest to be adapted to the individual needs of the child. The seat depth can be adjusted from 30 to 40 cm, while the backrest height can be adjusted from 59 to 74 cm. The angles of the backrest, seat and footrest can also be adjusted.
Adjustable lateral supports provide proper positioning and contribute to a high level of comfort, safety and functionality.
Indications
ALFA may be used for children with:
- Cerebral palsy (CP),
- Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA),
- Spina bifida,
- Paralysis and paresis of the legs and/or body,
- Genetic disorders,
- Paralysis and paresis of the lower limbs,
- Paralysis and paresis of the trunk,
- Weakness of the postural muscles responsible for maintaining proper body alignment.
Contraindications
In case of contraindications to sitting and/or passive upright positioning, consultation with a physiotherapist or treating physician is required.

Construction
The ALFA special needs wheelchair consists of two main elements: a frame with seat and a separate backrest.
The backrest is attached to the frame with seat using a simple locking mechanism, allowing the wheelchair to be assembled quickly and securely.
Important: Before seating the child, make sure that the backrest locking mechanism is properly secured on both sides of the wheelchair. Hold the backrest and gently move it to check that it is securely locked.
Adjustment and Customisation
ALFA can be easily adapted to the child's growth and individual needs using the available accessories and adjustment options.
